A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

Our Babe

Attached are pics of our baby. Today the baby is 8 weeks old! Our official due date is August 10th.

The 1st picture was taken yesterday at 7 weeks 6 days. The baby is 14.5mm and the heartbeat is 137 now. We could even see the baby’s developing brain yesterday – technology today is so amazing! (And no you can not guess from the heartbeat whether a boy or girl this early in development, per the Dr. J )

The 2nd picture was taken last Monday at 6 weeks 6 days. The baby was 6.5mm and the heartbeat was 123.

The baby is perfect developmentally for his/her age. We have 1 more appt at the specialist next Monday and then I am released back to my OB. I was able to stop a few oral meds today. Awful Progesterone – lumpy butte shots - stop the 13 of January but the even worse blood thinner shots don’t stop until March 9 L. Being able to have this baby makes the shots worth it though.

Christmas

Christmas was wonderful!
The boys slept in so after Alex gave me my shots we snuck downstairs and got the turkey in the oven, turned the lights on and ALex went outside to make the "snow" that my sister Kerri had sent.

The boys woke up and came downstairs and we opened the front door to show them the snowy surprise on the front porch. What fun!

They were really great about opening presents and making sure they knew who they were from 1st. They loved everthing and were so grateful and happy.

We talked to family, enjoyed playing with gifts and ate turkey and munchies. It was a wonderful holiday!

They are home

I have my boys back!! I don't have to share either of them with school and teachers! I love the sound of them playing or a cuddle from Justin. They are having a "sleepover" in Justin's room tonight. For being 9 years apart they really are so close and I just love it! I really, really love my boys!

4 days

4 days left....

Signs of pregnancy
NONE!!! It is freaking me out! I am tired - but who wouldn't be with the amount of meds being swallowed or shot into my body???

No throwing up, no queezy stomach, no sore boobs - I know who wishes for this right???

Sneaking Peaks

I was an awesome sneaker at Christmas time! I knew just where the presents were kept and could peal the tape and put it back just perfect! I couldn't stand to not know! I would even bribe both my sister's Christmas morning - but mostly Kerri, to sneak downstairs and peak at the stockings and under the tree. The suspense about killed me! So I understand this natural curiousity and appetite to know what you are getting.

Well, Justin is just like me! He snuck, and in a very undaintly way unwrapped/wripped some presents - not all the way - just enough to sneak a peak. When confronted he said, "mommmmmmm", with the cutest grin - that was saying how could I not peak. Oh, I understand little boy I thought! And I controlled - just barely mind you the impulse to show him how to do it so noone would know!

Fresh Wrestling Tourn.

Nic had a Fresh wrestling tournament Sat. He was able to wrestle twice. Unfortunately he lost, but he didn't get pinned, he just lost in points. His coaches say he is getting better everyday! They also had a 95 weight class which is better than the 104 he is wrestling in during regular matches at school. The poor kid is down to 92 lbs dressed including shoes. I guess 2.5 hours of practice and running does that to you! His teammates jokes he could weigh in dressed holding a footlong sub and still make weight!

He is really loving wrestling! So much that he, Alex, and I were talking about looking into sending him to a 1 to 2 week wrestling camp this summer.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

I swear my husband loves me, but there are days that I doubt that! We had one of those days...

I got out the progesterone in oil bottle and warmed it in my bra (Totally Glamourous!) Got out the syringe and the needles and alcohol pads. Alex washed his hands, I took the bottle out of my bra and alcohol swabbed it and handed it over. As I wiped my butte with an alcohol swab he drew up the meds with a huge long needle. I then leaned against the counter and held on with tight hands took a deep breath and closed my eyes. He counts, "1, 2, 3". And then shoots the needle in - I scream and hear a, "oh sorry, it bounced off". This happens a 2nd time and then a third I am now in tears. He says, "we're going to have to try the other side." I say "wait, I need a minute. He says, "OH. I forgot to change the needle." The syringe comes with a huge ugly thick needle that after you draw up meds you change to a huge thin needle that will actually go through the skin to stick in your muscle. My butte is sorer than sore and now I dont just have ugly lumps I have bruises to match my thighs and stomach from the blood thinner.

He swears it was an accident! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Christmas Cards

Remember last year when you didn't get a Christmas Card from us? Remember the beautiful Easter card with the picture of the boys? Those of you who live close even had it hand delivered with a tulip.

Well...

Look for an Easter card again this year! With all of our invetro procedures and the craziness of the holiday season I again am not getting out Christmas cards. But I will send you a beautiful Easter card again.

We do wish you all a Wonderful Christmas and a New Year filled with lots of blessings, hope, love and laughter!

Waiting...

I am waiting most impatiently for the 21st. I want to be able to scream from the rooftops that we are having a baby! The 21st is not a long way off but yet it seems like forever to find out if we hear a heartbeat(s).

Waiting is stressing me out and Dr. Oz says stress can lead to a child with autism! If you listen to everything that can go wrong we should live in a bubble!

I am so hopeful that I have a healthy baby growing inside me. I talk to the baby(s), I pray to God. I take tons of meds, endure shots and tons of bruises. Do you know I have no more spots on my stomach to put the blood thinner that's not brusied. I am out of non lumpy spots on my butte.

We put in 3 beautiful embreyo's and I know a pregnancy with 3 babys is only a 6% chance and I know it would be a hard pregnancy but you know what - I talk to all 3 of my babies. I want all 3 and I know the chance is so slim but I will be so sad if they are not all here. I know - dealing with infertility I should be grateful for just 1 healthy 1. But...they are all my babies and I will miss any that are not growing.

Oh 21st how far away you are...I need my magic want to speed up time...

A step closer to our baby...

We are reaching the 3 hurdles...

2 blood tests - 2 days a part. Then... the ultrasound on the 21st!

Will we have our special Cristmas present we have been praying for this year???? We are so hopeful!

Wrestling

Nic's 1st match. He was wrestling the 104 weight class for the freshman team and was all set to go...unfortunately the other team didn't have anyone in his weight class so he won by forfeit.
