How the years have flown...
July 20th is such a special day for me! Its your birthday - and the day I became a mom - The very moment I held you I felt an overwhelming love. A moms love - a gentle and fierce love all in one. I knew I would love you forever and ever!
I've not been a perfect mom, I've surely made mistakes...we've learned a lot together my 1st son! Together we've conquered single mom stuff, picked out a husband and dad :), I got married to dad - but the family vows we said were just as important, added 4 siblings, moved across the country, survived teenage years and learning to drive.

Today you are 18.... You graduated in May and will enter college next month.... So many milestones. And other than a fresh mouth here and there and a kick in the butt for motivation :) you've made it to 18 gracefully. I admire your determination to be a police officer. I am so proud of how you love your family. You are a wonderful big brother and have hero worship from 4 siblings - justin already wants to be a police officer like you. I'm sure Emma's boyfriends will undergo fierce scrutiny :)
As you enter adulthood I know you will do well. And always remember you are never too old for your moms arms! I love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living (and even in heaven) your mom I will be! I love you my son! Forever and always! Mom
