A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

What's been going on...

I have been a bad blogger lately...

Grandma came for a visit. We had big plans to do stuff but really only got to Peter Piper and Sea Life aquarium. Grandma got the stomach virus and was not feeling so well.
Nic and Justin had a wonderful time playing the games at Peter Piper - and so did Grandma.
Sea Life was fun. Justin really enjoyed it. But compared to Mystic Aquarium the price of admission was very... pricey - even with coupons.

After Grandma left the stomach bug has hit the rest of our house. UG!

We got our spring garden planted. We did 12 tomato plants for sauce and then just salad stuff - lettuce, radish, carrot, onion, parsley, dill, basil, and 1 pumpkin plant in the orange tree area.

Nic has been helping our neighbor Ted replant his plants that have died. What started to be an afternoon of helping has turned into days and hours as Ted has him planting 60 plants. I think it got a little out of control as far as "helping" but Nic has been a good sport about it.

Nic got his drivers permit. I thought he would get it over Christmas break but he needed to be 15 and 6 months. I took him to the school parking lot to practice a little the other night. He's still nervous and Justin yelling "He's going to kill us" in the back didn't help. Luckily he's in drivers ed at school and we also paid the extra $100.00 so he can do behind the wheel. His instructor takes him out after school and they drive for 6 hours and he also gives him his drivers test. I think that's the best $100.00 I've spent in a long time!

Justin is loving being outside on his bike. I still think he is a tad jealous of William - guess that's what happens when you are the youngest for 6 years. He loves the garden and must help with whatever's going on in there - except for the weeding, it gets old fast. He keeps trying to do stunts - now on his scooter and took a nice somersault the other day. A daily prayer for me is that he will not break a bone the next day.

William is a love. He loves to have his kneck kissed and belly laughs so hard when you do. We are working on getting him to drink a bottle. He will happily take a bottle or sippy cup when it is filled with juice. Milk or formula? Spits it right out and refuses more. Oh that boy! I met with Dr Craig and really need him on formula - but that boy cries like I am breaking his heart if I try it. I'm praying daily that he just gladly wakes up and accepts it soon...

I think I'm all caught up again... :)

William is 8 Months

Time is certainly flying! I can't believe 8 months ago William was 6 lbs 8oz and here he is at 8 months weighing 16 lbs!

William you are so happy! You babble constantly - even humming yourself to sleep. You squeal so loud when you see your brothers and love when they get on the floor and play with you! You are constantly waving at daddy and saying "Hi dada". Poor mommy I rarely hear my name, but I know you love me as I am the one you want to hold and cuddle and snuggle.

I love you my littlest man! Happy 8 month birthday!

Grandma is here!

The boys are getting some extra loves and hugs this week! Grandma flew out from CT to visit her 3 boys. She is having fun spoiling them and they are soaking up every drop of extra love and attention!

7 Months of Adorableness!

William,
You are 7 months today! I can not believe how fast time is flying by!
Your hair has all grown back and you have a TON of it!
You sit up all by yourself and play with toys.
You love your exersaucer but not your jumperoo yet.
You can move in a circle but you are not crawling yet.
You say mama and dada.
You wave hello.
You blow kisses with your fist - no mouth movement yet just the fist or you cup your hand at mommy's mouth so I can blow kisses to you.
You squeel and talk to your brothers. You love to sleep on daddy's belly and are quite the cuddler.

Happy Valentines to my 4 boys!

Happy Valentines!

Daddy got up and made you heart shaped pink pancakes today :) How sweet!

Yesterday mommy made chocolate truffle heart shaped brownies for my boys and I made daddy a made from scratch coconut cake with a yummy sourcream, coconut filling and Grandpa Gorman's favorite 7 minute fluffy marshmallow frosting! We ate that last night as daddy has to work late tonight. Ohhh, coconut sweetness - so good!

Tonight I am making spaghetti and meatballs. Hope you all loved your hearts and candy waiting for you at breakfast this morning.

I love you Alex, Nic, Justin and William! Happy Valentines Day!

January in Review

Nicholas
With the end of January wrestling ends for you. Now you are getting ready to investigate the Explorer program and see if that is something you would like to pursue. You and Justin fight each other for x-box time as Justin feels your purpose on earth is to play with him and you loudly disagree ! :) You made honor roll for 1st semester - they are honoring it by semester now rather than by quarter.

Justin
Oh crazy boy! It's been so cold and all you want to do is be outside riding your bike! I envy you your energy! You love to play on the floor with William - I have to keep an eye out though because you like to think you can pick him up! You are missing daddy terribly as he is working such long hours and try to monopolize all his time when he is home.

William
You turned 6 months on the 17th - time is going by so fast baby boy! You are such a happy little boy! You Love Love your brothers and always smile at them and babble! They love to make you say Hi! You love your vtech pony and love when it sings to you! You had your 1st bite of rice cereal on the 10th. You weren't so sure about it - gagging and spitting it out. We also tried a spoonful of squash - you didn't like that either. Your favorite food is pears. You get so excited for them you dive your head into the spoon with an open mouth. You love when mommy sings you the below song. You laugh and laugh!
I'm in love, I'm in love, with my tiny little boy...
I'm in love, I'm in love, with his great big huge blue eyes...
I'm in love, I'm in love, with his chubby little cheeks and chunky little thighs...
I'm in love, I'm in love, with William...

Our garden is flourishing and we've eaten all the radishes in our salad and dad make a radish/carrot relish with the rest. We also sauteed up 1 bok choy and everyone tried and liked it. Good thing as there are 3 more almost ready to be picked.

I love you - all 4 of my boys :) Hoping February is a fabulous month for us all!

Happy 6 months birthday William!~

Precious baby boy! You are growing so fast!
You went to the Doctor today and had all your shots :(. You weigh 14lbs 120z. I forgot to get your height but I will get it next month. You are just below the 10th percentile for weight and you are the 25th for height and 75th for head. The Dr is a little concerned that your weight has fallen below the 10th% so we have to go back in 1 month for a weight check and your 2nd flu shot. We also have to supplement you with formula or frozen breastmilk if you seem hungry after a feeding - in 1 month if you haven't gained weight we will have to supplement 2 feedings :( with formula. You can have cereal and fruit or veggies - but just 1x a day and not a lot as their is no fat in them and they won't help you gain weight. She wants you to start drinking from a sippy with 2 handles 1x a day and to start wagon wheels here and there to develop your pinching. Whew...so much developing to help you do!
You love your exersaucer now. You love to reach and play for toys. One of your favorite toys is a vtech pony that sings to you and lights up. You love to chew on stuff and EVERYTHING goes into your mouth - but no teeth yet! You LOVE your brothers and smile and laugh and babble to them when ever you see them! You love to cuddle with mommy. With daddy you blow razberries and pull his beard :).

Merry Christmas 2010!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our boys this year! They were so excited and appreciated all their presents - it was wonderful! We also skyped this year for the 1st time and Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Kerri were all able to join us for Christmas morning all the way from CT - we loved it! Here's our Christmas in pictures.
