A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

Happy 9th birthday Justin!

9 years ago a 6lb 4oz baby boy made me a mom for the 2nd time. Justin is my sunshine, a burst of energy, an outdoor sport loving boy, he lives in constant motion and has the sweetest caring heart with a beautiful smile that brightens my day!
I love you Justin to the moon and back 1 million times. You were an answered prayer, we dreamed and hoped and prayed and then thanked God for you. There is nothing in this entire world that I would rather do than be your mom and love you. Happy 9th Birthday!

William

William update;
Such a sweet face and kissable cheeks. But William you have surely hit a jealousy stage. You want mommy ALONE with no siblings at all! Some days you are super loveable and some days you push the babies over. Some days you are an angel and some days time out call you constantly. Such is the life of a 2 year old. I love you tons William.

Once in a Lifetime

Nic had the opportunity to attend Police Week in DC with his Explorer Post. His post was also given the honor of laying a wreath at the fallen officer memorial. They stayed for a full week in downtown DC. They attended many Police week events, the highlights were the wreath laying, the parade and the candle light ceremony. They also went to the  Vietnam memorial and the world war 2 memorial. They went to the Smithsonian, natural history museum, Halocost  museum, they had senate passes, Arlington Cemetery   , mount vernon - boat ride,  Lincoln and Jefferson  monument. They saw the Washington monument and the White house - but both were closed to the public. and so much more! The Pinal County Sheriff attended some of police week also and the explorers were thrilled when he joined them for dinner, the Mount Vernon trip and the ceremony were they got to see and hear the President talk. The kids walked around DC most days in there Class As and B's and the advisors heard often how well behaved and professional the kids looked and behaved. I am so grateful Nic was given this opportunity.

Glasses for my littlest man. So cute!!!

I'm sure one day you will ask mom what was up with the blue glasses? They did have more fashionable ones little man. But they were not as indestructible as these. These are bendable in every direction, you could even knot them in a bow :) you live with a brother named William - need I say more? You, Emma and William have all had your fair share of taking them on and off and they have survived thus far, we are doing good. And Jaxen seriously, you Rock those glasses with your cuteness!
Mommy was sure something there was something wrong with your eye sight, it seemed to me your eyes were not focusing together. But after repeatedly having the pediatrician say all was well and haing a pediatric eye dr tell me, "Its the best diagnosis of all, a paranoid mother." I was convinced I was. But after having an eval for feeding therapy due to that darn reflux, slow language sounds and you are at the slow end to walk, the OT noticed your eyesight too and gave me the name of a good eye dr. And all your delays  could be caused by this - you are severely far sighted. Hopefully glasses will help and might improve your eye sight so you may not need glasses forever.
