A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

No Sense of Urgency

This is how Alex described Nic last night. And... I have to agree - the boy has no sense of urgency!

He gets home at almost 8pm from his meet. He still has dinner, HW, and shower to do before he goes to bed. At 10pm he is still trying to find MORE food before showering. I tell him the time and to move because I'm going to blow a whistle to get his butt up in the morning! The boy moves at one pace slower than slow!

And he's eating a TON! Last night ribs, pot wedges, cookies, a whole package of lipton noodle sides, and something else I can't remember - all this in a 2 hour time frame. And he had oodles of noodles for breakfast and a PB&J and 6in sub during school. What?????????

The food item I forgot - a frozen pizza! It must be a growth spurt - or the 2 meets 2 days in a row. Poor kids.

Maybe the teenage appetite finally kicked in-- or this is a desperate attempt to put on some more weight for wrestling!

Marianne has her days when she moves just exactly like you describe Nic. It drives me nuts.
