A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

A Visit Home

Alex dropped us off at the airport at 5am - and then got in an accident leaving the airport. He had a sore back for a bit but was ok. My suburban on the other hand sustained $8500.00 worth of damage. But Alex had it fixed by the time we got home, thanks honey! Checking through the airport was fine - William was a little fussy but I got the boys breakfast and was able to nurse William and then he was happy. When the gate desk opened I asked them to switch our seats as none of us were together and they refused (WHAT?)! They said I had to ask someone on the plain to switch with me - crazy - that has never happened to me before! The flight attendent helped me and a nice lady switched seats with Justin so he was next to me. Nic was behind us and listened to his music most of the way to Philedelphia. A nice man sat next to Justin and watch Transformers with J on his mini DVD player. He had a lot of patience with Justin and was very nice. As we left the plane other passengers complemented on how well behaved his children were LOL :). Coming into Phildelphia was VERY windy and bumpy. Switching planes in Philedelphia and landing at Bradley was uneventful.

When we got to CT my parents were there to greet us with big hugs! It was so wonderful to be home and introduce my dad to William! We got to my parents house and a little after we arrived my sisters showed up! It was wonderful to catch up with them after not seeing them for over a year! They look the same except for Kelly's baby bump! I'll be an aunt Jan 1st! Grandma and Grandpa's dogs, Misty and Molly were not so happy to see us. They like calm and the boys definetly add in some chaos and noise to the house!

The 3 boys and I (I love writing 3 boys!) went to CT for 1 day shy of 2 weeks, Sept 22nd till oCT 5TH. We had a wonderful time and although we missed Alex and were ready to see him again I think I could of stayed forever if he was with us!

I'll start the story of our vacation with some folliage pics straight from my parents backyard.

That 1st night, only 5 hours after we arrived the boys were arguing about having to share a bed. I told Justin to grab his pillow and a blanket and he could sleep in with me. He ran in, jumped on the bed, fell off and rebroke his arm! I'm not so sure I am going to survive that boy growing up!

We went apple picking at the orchard 5 mins from my mom's house. So much fun! We made apple crisp and apple sauce from the apples! So YUMMY!

Saturday we got up in the morning and drove to Winsted to stay at Grandma and Grandpa Fisher's house. We met their new dog Penny, a gorgeous yellow lab. Aunt Jen, Uncle John, and Jonah and Jared, Aunt Christina and Sebastian, and Aunt Paula and her dad came to visit us. It was great to see everyone and the boys enjoyed hanging out with their cousins and going for walks with Grandma and Penny. We visited with Grandma and Grandpa until Sunday and then headed back to Enfield.

My mom had a get together for our family and close friends. It was wonderful to see how all my friends and cousins children have grown. The boys enjoyed hanging out with cousins and friends. I loved this! I always loved family/friend picnics, holidays and get-togethers. It really made me miss being home!

Leaving was sad and going through Bradley airport was awful! They patted William and I both down as I was carrying him in his bjorn (didn't happen when we left Phoenix though!). They also took his milk to inspect it away from me where I couldn't watch - so I through that away! Justin, poor Justin! Because he had on his cast they wanded him - which was ok and I told him what they would do. However, they did not tell me they were chemical testing him. Two long thin spoons with white cloth on the the end was rubbed on his hands and cast - he was a little freaked and moved over to me. I went to put my arm around him and was told I couldn't touch him until the results came back from his chemical test! Then they pulled apart our backpack because it had a mini dvd player (which I did not have to take out in Phoenix.) I understand security, really I do but seriously? That was a little much! Plus if Bradly did that and Sky Harbor did not are they really making anything safer if they are not all following the same rules? We got delayed in Detroit due to the weather in Phoenix but it was ok. Traveling is always an adventure I guess!

Anyway...
Kelly was able to take 4 days off from work while were there and Kerri took all the days off. It was so wonderful to be able to spend time with my sisters and parents. I really miss them a lot!
