5 HOURS AFTER ARRIVING IN CT...
JUSTIN BROKE HIS ARM AGAIN! SAME BONES, 2 BREAKS! ONLY 1 BONE POKED THROUGH THE SKIN THIS TIME THOUGH...
I think I am still in a little shock!
He had just thrown his pillow on the bed, he then jumped on the end of the bed with his knees and fell off the side. Then... bloody curdling screams! Arm hanging limply but... only a little blood this time, no fountain thankgoodness!
Then the craziness! Grandpa got the van out, Grandma put his arm in newspaper and tied it with Grandpa's hankerchiefs, Auntie Kerri was called to come pick up Nic, the baby was bundled up, baby stuff packed and we flew down the highway to Hartford Children's hospital.
They took Justin right in started an IVand got some morphine in him. The x-rays showed the same 2 breaks in the 2 bones in his left forearm as before (he broke it April 1st). Only 1 bone came thru the skin - in a very small spot and was already back in the arm. So they decided to sedate him rather then do surgery and anesthesia. They moved him to a procedure room, started IV antibiotics, cleaned and flushed out his arm, set it, and temporarily cast it. Then they sent him home with pain meds and antiobitics a little after 4am.
We head back to the Pediatric Ortho office at the hospital Tues to rexray and hopefully permanently cast it. We can't wait until we get back to AZ because if the bone has moved by the time we get back it could have started to heal and they would have to rebreak to fix - OUCH!!!
Crazy!

Hope your trip is going better now! (At least Justin isn't missing out on the swimming season this time.)
