A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

A Failure

That's Me.

I failed my 3 hour glucose testing - badly.

Now on to multiple daily blood testing and strict eating times.

The Dr. is letting me try oral meds 1st rather than going straight to insulin like I did with Justin. Hoping to avoid insulin shots daily - it seems like I just stopped all my other shots.

I am so upset. I guess watching my diet and gaining 0 lbs didn't help one bit! I have until Weds to monitor with diet and pills and then I go see Dr. If that doesn't work I am back for a day of monitorig with the nurses and then maybe insulin again. Then Alex will have to play Mr mom and take a day off to run the kids to wrestling camp and swim lessons.

I don't know why I am so upset - odds are that this would happen :(

Hang in there, it will be all right...I'm sure the pregnancy hormones are probably not helping, even though you knew this was likely to happen. Don't stress yourself out about it, please!! (Since I was freaking out about the GD diagnosis and went into premature labor two days later, I don't recommend it!) Probably you won't need the insulin, and since you are going to have the c-section, it doesn't matter if the baby is slightly bigger, right?

It's not just the big size. It can hurt the baby in other ways. He will also have to be tested after he is born to make sure his sugars are ok after he is born for a bit. Luckily Justin's were fine. Hope William's will be too.
Alex is picking up the glucophage (sp) for me on the way home so I can start everything.
No premature labor for me! I have too much to do and the kids have a lot going on in June. Plus I really want to find a little $, I found this awesome website for crafts and sewing and I need to get some material - I want to make a nursing cover and some blankets...
