A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

Homemade Sauce

These pics are the boys peeling the skins from a TON of tomato's!

This weeks dinner was a combined effort from both boys. It hasn't resulted in dinner yet, however they both learned how to make spaghetti sauce from scratch.

We started with our fresh garden tomato's and I taught Nic had to core each one. Then we (ok I did this part) put them in boiling water. After boiling I put them in the sink where the boys put ice and water on them to cool them and pop the skin. The boys then peeled each tomato's skin off and squeezed them to get rid of seeds and put them in the crockpot. They added some garlic, salt, tomato paste, ital seasonings, and parm. cheese. They turned the crock pot on low and left it until morning. In the morning they had the most beautiful thick (a wooden spoon stood up straight in it) spag. sauce! This weekend we are adding some sausage to it and putting it in freezer containers.

Good Job Boys! I am so proud of your new cooking skills!
