A BOY IS

TRUTH with dirt on his face,

BEAUTY with a cut on his finger,

WISDOM with bubble gum in his hair,

and theHOPE of the future with a
frog in his pocket.

LITTLE GIRLS

Little girls are made of daisies and butterflies and soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.

Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow

And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.

Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls

And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.

Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,

And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

String Beans? Nope, it's Lima Beans :(

I bought pole beans ~ or at least that's what the package said...My thought was that a pole bean would be a string bean that climbed a pole - like the trellis I have them winding up.

Picked some last night and they look like pea pods...I told the kids, "Really the seed package said beans". We came inside and popped them open and what fell out? Lima Beans UG! The only veggie we were aloud to refuse to eat growing up were lima beans - probably cause my dad hated them too!

Now what? My dad said if I'm sneaky I could probably get away with using them in chili in place of kidney beans. He said they tend to take on the flavor of what you cook them in.

I'm just hoping beans are a veggie I can replant in Sept/Oct because I was really looking forward to eating uncooked, fresh picked grean beans. YUM!

You need to read the book A Bad Case of Stripes before dinner tonight!
